About Louann
For two decades, Topekans chose to spend part of their day with Louann. Now, Louann helps convince individuals to devote some of their time to a visit with the financial professionals she proudly calls her on-air partners — and friends.
Across an award-winning 20-year run as a morning radio show host, Louann developed a knack for facilitating engaging conversations. She showcased that skill in chats with everyone from Bob Hope to the total strangers that called into her program. Whether it was the red carpet at the Country Music Awards or the set at Disney MGM Radio Studios, Louann’s upbeat, positive and compassionate energy radiated far and wide. She believes strongly in the work her co-hosts do for soon-to-be retirees — “I want our audience to understand how helpful those advisors can be in setting them on the right path for an amazing retirement,” Louann says.
Louann took a seven-year hiatus from broadcasting to teach German at an area middle school, but she was drawn back to her “first love” when the opportunity to join the team at Advisors Excel presented itself. Louann married her high school sweetheart, Bob, in 1983, and the couple has two adult children and three grandchildren. When she has free time, Louann enjoys rolling up her sleeves and getting her hands dirty — she’s enthusiastic about working in her yard and redecorating rooms in her home.
